School’s Out for Summer

13 06 2011

This is a strange thing for a serial dater to say…

I haven’t been on a date in a month.  Suddenly, I feel a little out of practice.

The last three weeks of school were just brutal. Something had to give.  I had to decide what was most important in my life, and dating and blogging had to take a backseat to learning.

It’s all good though.  My last two assignments of the quarter were turned in online yesterday, I celebrated with my classmates by enjoying a couple of liquid concoctions, and I have a couple of dates queued up for this week.  Time’s a wastin’.

Today, I gave myself a day off.  I tried to have a day of doing as little as possible.  So, what did I do?  Not much really.

  • I got out of bed at 5:30 a.m. so I could get to Experience Fitness by 6:30 a.m. to work out with Zach.
  • Came back home, mopped my floors, and started some laundry. (I’m a little behind on housework since I’ve been so busy.)
  • I showered and got dressed up for an interview for a position selling investments.

By the time I got home, it was mid-afternoon.

  • I changed into my sweats, and put Thor through his sprinting and jumping workout. (He’s getting so buff.)
  • I parked my ass in front of the television, and started watching movies while answering emails. (Invictus, Karate Kid, and Amelie)
  • I finally decided it might be time to write a blog post.

Tomorrow I need to have a more productive day.

Here’s a sign that I might be more of a geek than previously disclosed. I always read before I go to sleep at night.  For the past two night, even though school is finished, I’ve taken my managerial accounting textbook to bed with me.

Do you think there’s a cure for whatever this affliction is that I have?
